Connect to itunes/restore problem.

    I just updated to itunes 9. first it froze when i plugged my ipod in so i searched around and used DFU and what not, now im stuck in the connect to itunes screen. when i put it in DFU and restore i get an error 1601 message not letting me restore.

    my ipod touch isnt jailbroken.
    any help would be much appreciated

    Right, ive tried your method and i still get the error message (1601) but now ive just got a white screen on my ipod, any ideas on getting this to work ?

    Tried them all, no luck.


    and jawcl it tells me its not the right command or something, ive tried both methods.

    Hmm, it should work. Did you install LibUSB? And could you tell me what kind of error it is?

    Yes ive installed LibUSB, ive just got the option to run the test program ? should it be running the test program whilst im doing this?

    " " is not recognized as an internal or external command, operate program or batch file.

    thats what message i get when in cmd.
