I'm very new to the iPod world and have just had my new iPod Touch 8g up and running for a week or two. (finally)

One thing that I find confusing is whether an APP is compaitable with the "touch" or you have to have an iPhone.

I do know that obviously some apps need a phone to work such as "dialers" and other phone specific apps.

However.. There have been other apps listed, such as flashlights etc... that say they are for the iPhone also.

Here are my questions. In the apps description, does it always say specifically wheteher an app is for iPhone or iTouch? Are some apps, such as flashlights etc.. That say they are for the iPhone also for the iPod touch (but they just don't tell you that)?

Anyone who can shed some light on this? I would be very appreciative.

    Thanks in advance

It will say in the app description whether or not you need a mic.
So if you don't have a mic then the games obviously won't work. The only real iPhone only apps are ones when you need the dialer and whatever.
    Flashlights are for both.
