ugh it's been like 6 months but my computer will not turn off... it just freezes at a blue screen (NOT THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEAT!)it's the blue welcome screen. I have tried everything like editing the Waittime to kill apps regestry command and also moddding my startup items and I will not reinstall windows.

Look behind your computer. Find a cord leading to a power strip or a plug in the wall. Grab it and yank it. ;P

Terrible advice lol, not shutting down properly can lead to damaging your computer.

Im going to assume you have Norton? And possibly XP?
