I have made a computer to comp network on my mac and my ipod touch 2g can join it just fine, but under places on my mac finder, the ipod doesnt show up even though they are both on the same network. I don't have wi-fi at my house (im at library) and want to share files wirelessly as I would with dropcopy. Any ideas?? Thanks.

You need to go to Network and enter IP address and Port for the ipod.

You need to get an App like Airsharing to be able to transfer files via wifi. Check it out at the app store.

right, i have airshare and it makes it easy to transfer files to and from. it tells you all you need to do to make it work.

it goes through the network, not the internet. so you could have a router thats broadcasting wifi hooked to a computer and it will still work without the internet.

although i cant get it to work at school. i think there are too many security things stopping me. or its cuz the wifi network is separate from the hard wired network.
    i dont know.
