    hey guys,

ive been on this site for a while (8 months) and ive learned so much about how to do pretty much anything with my ipod touch.

Ive thought about learning how to program before, and i am a complete noob. Can someone reply with an intro or something like that about computer programming? i know there are different kinds but im pretty much clueless from there. I'm not asking for a how to guide on how to program but i would like a good start so i can use google and books to figure out the rest.

    thanks

What kind of programming? It's probably wise not the start with any of the C languages. I would recommend learning PHP, it is a good, useful language used in websites.

And also, it is best to buy a book on the matter, as even if it is more expensive than looking on the web, it can be much more convenient, and having it lying around is a good incentive to get back to work and not just give up

C++ isn't as hard as some of the other C languages at least

C# and c++ are most useful, but most difficult. with the two alone you could create just about anything youd want, including games (xbox 360 games, if you use XNA (Google XNA and see what it is))

If you want to program for iPhone you'll need to learn Objective-C.
