[Solved]Compress into a .deb on Windows?

I've created my app and I have my control.tar and data.tar inside that folder anybody know how I can compress my folder into a .deb, so that it can be installed in Cydia, on a Windows (xp or vista)?

Solution: Do it on your iDevice

    1. Place your data folder (uncompressed) into MyApp folder.
    2. Place your control file into a DEBIAN folder into MyApp folder.
    3. Place your MyApp.app folder into a folder named Applications
    4. Place the Applications folder into the MyApp folder
    5. Place entire MyApp folder into /private/var/mobile/
    6. Run this:
(Replace MyApp with the name of your app)

Your deb will apprear in private/var/mobile/

You can extract debs on a windows using Universal Extractor.

To my knowledge you can't use dpkg on Windows, though you may be able to use Cygwin.

If you want your app on Cydia, contact BigBoss, or another reputable repository maintainer, and they will package the application for you.

EDIT: You can use dpkg on your iPhone or iPod touch - http://www.saurik.com/id/7

Unless you're in it for the learning experience, there's no reason not to get your app hosted in a "Community Source", where it's available to virtually everyone who is jailbroken.

Please read the whole article. Because you are on Windows, I think your best option is to do the packaging on your iDevice. The commands are the same.
