    My iTouch has 1.1.1 Jailbroken

I havent installed anything new lately but all of a sudden it has become completely unresponsive - Sleep/On button wont turn it on, touchscreen doesnt respond when charging, home button does nothing.

What the hell can I do?

    Should I restore?

Here's a list of what you should do and if the ones fathest up don't work move your way down the list 1 being best for you and 4 being worst (time consuming)

1-hold down shutdown button for 15 seconds

2- hold down shutdown and home button for five seconds then keep holding down the shutdown button

3-drain battery and wait till it shuts off by itself and plug back into computer and let it charge for one hour

4-hold down both home and shutdown button for about 20 seconds then release and turn back on and restore to factory defaults... (only if you have to) -this one has no flaws it will do this one!

Have you attempted a hard shutdown?

Hold both home and sleep button for 10-30 seconds...if that doesn't work can you ssh into it?
also does it show anything; home screen, apple icon, turning wheel
etc.? and is it charged? [lol to that last one]

just remember you can always restore don't freak out but try this stuff first and tell us what happens

    I can sync with iTunes.
    I can SSH.

But cannot perform any hard functions (ie those involving buttons/screen)

I think some hardware may have broken, but i havent dropped it or anything.

I'll try hard shutdown after I backed up my apps.

Can you force a restart via SSH, if so how?

Right after holding the buttons for about 1 minute it finally shutoff and took about 2 minutes to boot up. Still unresponsive, did it again and it nothing, and as they say "3rd time lucky" and pow it rebooted quickly as normal and works 100%.

Thanks guys. Its really weird though - the touchscreen and sleep button were acting as if they were broken!

Gonna charge it up fully now.
