ok, so i'm trying to learn how to compile my applications
i installed the toolchain available in cydia on my ipod, but i know
that that's not the whole compiler
and i'm really confused as to what to do next
i've searched the forums, google, and i have Saurik's page open
    but, i'm still lost

also, is it really necessary, even with the SDK?
i think i read that it doesn't actually compile it into an application unless you pay
any and all help is appreciated

if you installed the toolchain from cydia, then you can compile. first learn how a compiler works though, and the jobs of the compiler, assembler, linker, etc. you need to know that, and then you will understand everything.

    ok
i was thinking it might be the whole thing, but all the places i looked
had big long pages on it so i assumed it wasn't
and yes, definitely, it only makes sense to know
what it is exactly that you're using
    thank you!
