I've been seeing loads of people claiming they "bought" 1.1.3 firmware. I sure hope you didn't--because it is free. You actually pay for the applications like Mail, Notes, Stocks, etc. To upgrade your firmware, be sure that your iPod is plugged into your computer, launch iTunes if it isn't already, and click on the iPod tab. Then click on "Check For New Updates." iTunes will do whatever it needs to, and you're good to go. If you want to buy the applications, click here. Note: Jailbroken iPod touches will be unjailbroken with this firmware upgrade. The applications will remain on the Touch, just not launch-able or visible in Springboard. I noticed this when I was browsing my iPod touch with iPhoneDrive. My guess is if you jailbreak it in 1.1.3 (when that is possible) the apps will show up again and be launch-able.
