All the answers to your problems are lying somewhere in this forum. You just have to find them. To submit a problem/answer to this guide, please send me a Private Message.

    Easy Fixes

    Generic Problems (CHECK THIS FIRST)
Here are some generic problems and answers you may have fixed in an Apple Support Document.

How do I get my Wi-Fi to work?
Check Danls92's guide to make sure your DNS is the same and correct so you can connect to the internet. See it here.

Make sure your settings are configured correctly in Settings, that you have a wi-fi connection in the vicinity and that you have switched wi-fi on.

In addition, see the official Apple Support Document here.

When I import Photos from Vista, they're messed up. Help!
See this Apple Support Document on how to fix it.

My music is still on my iPod but won't appear.

Try resetting all settings within the Settings application. If that fails to work, a restore is your only option.

My Icons have all disappeared. Can I make them appear again?
Sure, see my thread here for several methods on how to make your icons appear.

    Various Error Codes/Restore Problems

The following error codes are likely because there is a problem with restoring. If you have a problem, first see the Apple Support Document on Restoring.

If that is unable to help you, see the IPTF thread regarding this to post your experiences and to find solutions. http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32977

If any of the above 3 threads are unable to help you, check the following Apple Support documents for Error codes for which one applies to you. If none of these are able to help you, start a new thread or use the search function.

    Your iPod Is Not Bricked

Help, I have the spinning circle of doom! Is my iPod bricked?
No, it's not. To get out of the spinning circle of doom simply delete the last thing you installed via SSH. If you can't use SSH, check the Applications section below for alternatives. Also try using a backup of your N45AP.plist

HELP!!! IT WON'T DO ANYTHING!!! I'M BRICKED!!!

No. You're not bricked. The only way that you would be bricked is that you ultimately failed in doing the Dual Boot, you entered a "death command" in Terminal, or you managed to screw up the bootloader. All of which are not easy to do unless you're trying to. The common user will never brick their iPod touch. A restore will fix any problem you have that has been related to jailbreak. If the issue is not fix, restore and take it to an Apple Store. It's their defect, not yours.

Okay great, how do I force restore?
See a113524c's and Zombie_Killer's guide here. Note that a force restore will wipe everything on your iPod, and should only be used as a last resort.

    Very helpful topic.

I was wondering whether you would mind me posting this topic in the iPod section of my forum, or even better if you created an account and posted it yourself. But i understand if you don't have the time or don't want to post it so would i be able to post it if you don't want to?

-Thanks. BTW forum is in my sig.

    1. I can join and post / port all my guides to your forum.
    2. You haven't approved your irrelevant personal/iPod touch related forum with bgizzle.
    3. It won't be approved by bgizzle because he has said that he won't approve those kinds of links in the announcement.
    4. You can get an infraction for putting that link in your signature, so I would suggest removing it.
    5. That said, I'll post all of my guides there later today.
    6. It's now on there.
