Has anyone used coinstar to get an iTunes giftcard? Usually coinstar charges you nearly 9% for coin counting, but if you choose to turn your change into an iTunes giftcard, it's free. I just wanna know if I can just deposit a few dollars (or even 99 cents) in if it'll work...or if I have to have a minimum amount. I do not wanna sync my credit card to my iTunes. I don't trust myself.

Minimum of five. It is a freakin' awesome service though. I use it for Amazon GC.

I've used a coin star before and YES you can use bills, even for gift cards.
@ruffdraft just because it says coins, it doesn't mean you can't use bills xD

Thanks... I've used coinstar and I'm pretty sure I remember a bill slot.. Just wanted to make sure. I'm glad they added the giftcard option. Good way of just getting a few apps.

Yes it is free. I remember an exploit that used this a while back which involved disconnecting the phone line as it connected to iTunes, causing it to fail and spitting your money back out, (thus counting it for free).

Of course, this probably doesn't work anymore and I assume nobody here is going to actually do that.

Just went to a local 24 hr Giant Eagle and got a $7 (lol) iTunes card.

Any recommendations for cheaps apps/games that are WORTH keeping?

Update: LAME, so I downloaded the t-Pain auto tune app (dunno why), and it makes a funky squealing noise through the whole time using it, when I looked it up online, other people with 4Gs are experiencing the same thing. So maybe I'll wait for an update? What a waste.

And quick question, do apps have tax? I had $7, bought the 2.99 t-Pain app, and I have like 3.78 left?
