    When i type the floating number as "0x0.3p10", it comes out as 192. How is this possible? It doesnt explain anything on the book im reading and also "1.7e4" just suddenly becomes 17000.

    Could anyone explains how this all works?

    errm...to which language does this point to?
    I see maths in these numbers^^
    I cannot figure out what the first one means but the second one is:

    1.7e4 = 1.7 * 10^4 = 17000

    Yeah, the second one is basic math.

    The first one, I have no idea of what you are trying to do...

    0x0.3p10 is a hexadecimal float.
