When you push the home button in, does that close an app, or just minimize it?

You could turn off wifi when its not in use, like when playing games. And games will take up alot of battery.

Steve Jobs does not like background processes. Or a task manager.

Apps are not allowed to run in the background anyway, so I don't see how force-quitting would save any more battery than simply pressing home to close the app. (In fact, since it takes 5 extra seconds to close that way, you're wasting 5 seconds of your battery life.)
