hi everyone. i have been having problems with my iPod touch 2gs performance concerning laggy apps sometimes. I have to reboot the device for it to work properly again. I'm running os 3.0 and I thought probably I had to close the apps like safari mail etc. in 2.0 I had to press the home button for a few seconds but it doesn't seem to work in the new os. can someone please tell me how to do this? or if someone knows why my iPods not working well?

I've got about 30 apps and 750 mb of free memory

They changed the method you have to use to force quit apps in 3.0. Now you have to hold down the sleep/wake button until the "Power Off" slider appears. From there, let go of sleep/wake and hold down the home button until the app quits to the homescreen. Maybe try getting one of the memory-freeing apps from the App Store such as "Free Memory", which, if I recall correctly, is $0.99.
