Hey i am fairly new to the scene, but i was wondering if there is anyway as of yet to skin the clocks application.

I made a mock up of an idea on what i want to skin.

    CHANGES:
    - Blue bar up top that says "World Clock" changed to black
    - Brushed metal looking background
    - Black world wallpaper
    - Tag Heuer Watch faces and hands

    idea:ORIG/NEW SKIN

    yes and no..

    heres whats possible:
    - Brushed metal looking background
    - Tag Heuer Watch faces and hands
    Black world wallpaper

if you could give me a copy of the blank clock face, ill do it. remember that there is one for day and night, preferably white and black

the blue background that has the 'world clock' is generic for all ipod apps like safari, calendar, etc., if you change it (its not in the mobiletimer direc), youll have to change it for every app...

The world wallpaper is together with the blue bar

do you know how to change it for every app? i don't believe it's possible. I've gone through all the png's throughout the touch.

yeah the png of app by apple are verrry deceptive. the png you're looking at, default.png, is only the blank screen you see before the actual app loads up, and then it changes back. i've tried this a million time with safari (search safari skin and you'll see the delema). What i THINK is the overall png for that blue bar is the Default_BG.png found in the sprginboard.app direc, but im not gonna try it anytime soon.
Edit: here the default_bg i suppose you would want. Try it at your own risk because as far as i know its not been done before. it should change the blue bar for every app, but who knows.. remember it goes in the springboard.app direc.

Sorry bout the double post, think this is different. heres pretty much it..but i couldnt figure out the hours and minute hands, they are something different and threres no png. anyway, this is the clock face, brushed background (i think) and the black world wallpaper. these go in the clock app. the 'thumbnails' need to be saved as png's

default_bg is the top bar (white bar), like I said, I've already gone through probably all png's throughout the touch. We really need to find that damn blueish garbage of a background. It may be part of the firmware. let me explain why I think that is. I've changed the applelogo.png and when I restart, i get the same applelogo that I'd supposedly replaced. A split second before the dashboard shows, I see my modified applelogo.png. Some of these png's are just placeholders. Or..maybe we're just neglecting the Mask png's.

What's the point of the clock app anyway really? It says the time right on the front of the ipod o_o

maybe I'm unaware of some time-teleportation technology inside the touch
