What do you recommend is the best way to clean it? I don't want to ruin it so I came here for advice.

I got some greasy crap on the back of my iTouch.
    Here's a picture of it:

I've tried just wiping it with the cloth that came with the case but doesn't help. The greasy stain shows anywhere where there is pressure applied to the area

Would lightly damping the cloth in water do the trick? Or do I need to buy some sort of special chemical to clean it? What would be the best and safest solution?

    -Thanks

Yeah. Wet a wash cloth or something like a paper towel and then get out the excess water and wipe it carefelly. Also, a GLASSES CLEANER WORKS NICELY. The ipod touch is not to hard to clean.

    What's an iTouch? lol jk
You could probably just use something that would soak up whatever that stuff is. A paper towel or a tissue might work good

I clean my iPod with a paper towel and windex all the time. Water and glasses cleaners work too. Also, the black cloth that came with my iMac works

I don't need to clean my iPod, the back is in perfect condition, no scrapes, no dents

    nothin'

I'd recommend a wet towel or cleanex
