I've done this before, but forgot the correct process in updating and jailbreaking an ipod touch. The touch is a 2g and is currently running 3.0 or maybe 3.1. I would like to update the touch to the latest firmware and rejailbreak it. Does this thread apply to my situation? ---> http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114054
So should I restore, update, then jailbreak? And I can only backup my music and apps downloaded from the iTunes store, correct? And what is this Spirit? I've tried looking everywhere as to what it is, but am baffled....
    Thanks
