Circle on Iphone 2G

    Hi Everyone,
    I need Your advice for a moment !! My dad got a 2G Iphone yesterday and all of a sudden A circle came up where the signal bars are meant to be !! I searched the web and couldnt find anything !! I found this video on Youtube but wasnt much help !!

    the circle shows that your phone is currently using the GPRS network, the first generation network before EDGE and 3G. Likewise, if it shows an E instead of a cricle then you are on the EDGE entwork, and if the 3G is shown you are on the 3G network.

    however since you have the iphone 2nd generation, you cannot use the 3G network, only EDGE and GPRS. If the phone cannot find EDGE service it will automatically switch to GPRS.
