circle of death cant restore

    have spinning circle of death
    put ipod into recovery mode
    when i try to restore in itunes it says that their is an unknown error
    tried multiple times and still wont work

    Device:
    iPod touch
    Use Ziphone and put it into DFU Mode.

    Then you can restore with iTunes.

    and if that doesn't work (since ipod needs to be recognized by itunes in order for ziphone to put it into DFU mode) , manually put it into DFU

    How did you get the circle of death?
    You might not need to restore

    this is very true... cause as a matter of fact last night i was "playing" around with one of my webclips image and i forgot to set the permissions and i restarted my ipod... and for my freaking surpries ... bam!!!!! circle of death... but i realized that i could still open winscp into it and changed the webclip image back into the backup that i made.. and tara!!!! the ipod turned on and well lets just say that i wound be playing around with the image again... (on this week only lol)

    this happened with me i pluged it in the computer closed itunes and all other programs which were running and i held the power and home button in for bwt 3min then it booted itself into restore mode and itunes opend then i restore it from there

    i just got the circle thing and as ive only had my ipod for 3 days i left a terrible mess on the chair. I was messing about with themes and stuff using both customize and summerboard but then the theme would only load after i opened something and closed it not straight from when i turn the ipod on, so i went to restor menu or something in general setting and that fooked it up. but thanks for the help got it restored using dfu mode.

    Now back to the beginning to start all over again lol

    lol u should download pandas pc suit then you can back all your stuff up like apps music videos and if it messes up just resotre it to them settings again and you will get it all back plus its fast
