Two of the most recent apps I have put on my iPad have also turned out to be two of my favorites.

CineXPlayer is a free 4 star app that allows you to play .avi(Divx) movies on your iPad. No more converting movie files to mp4. Just load them to the CineXPlayer via iTunes file sharing, and that's it. The app works as well as the video player built in to the iPad. I love this because I have a 500gb external hd filled with movies, which are mostly .avi.....so it couldn't get any better than this.

The second app that I am really liking is Mercury Web Browser. It is the closest mobile browsing experience to Firefox that I have found so far. It is very customizable and comes with so many great features like download manager, tabs, full screen, adblock, file viewer, and much more. I'm not sure Mozilla could do any better than this even if they did make FF for the iPad.

I was using Downloads HD and the tabbed browsing in that is epic, I've just bought Mercury so it better be worth it.

I prefer 'air video' for playing avi's etc, converts them while you watch and i don't even need the file on iPad

    CineXPlayer is awesome.
Watched videos for 3 hours, and it only wasted around 25% percent of my battery.
