Did anyone notice the Chrome on the front of the 4G is significantly less than on the 2G/3G? When I would put a white shiny back skin on my iPod touch 2G, some of the Chrome would show and it would ruin the white backing effect.

But now... the 4G looks really nice with less chrome on the side.
The image was taken from the Apple website, and I edited it with red lines to show proportions between the different generations.

For people who think I made a copy/paste mishap, the two images were next to each other with a big gap. I made the gap smaller by placing both iPod touch directly beside each other. In no way did I change the sizes of any of the pics.

Refer to section 1 (in red) in the picture above (my explanation diagram lol). The status bar is the same length, and the Safari top bar is as well. But the Safari bottom bar is off. Coincedence? No. I think Apple made the screen longer, but a bit thinner, which keeps the diagonal ratio of 3.5 inches.

And the home button is the same thing, no editing here.

YES! I think it looks so much better ad more like the original touch which i loved with the polished metal/aluminum bezel. I think this looks way way better than the second gen and third gen which i hated for the design. I thought the chrome bezel was very ugly. i cant wait toget my 32GB

pixel wise yes, but i think its just a trick of the eye (or in this case improper images) i believe the screens are still the same dimensions. prove me wrong though. a bigger screen is still a bigger screen no matter how much, so if were seeing it correctly than yipee!

Yeah I'm pretty sure the screen is still the same size but because the front panel has been reduced in width and increased in height, it looks to be larger compared to the older one. I also notice more space above and underneath the home button.

Weird... they decided not to show any buttons on the edges of the 4g here.
