Chrome 6 beta coming soon

    Google did a freeze on new features for Chrome 6 yesterday so it should be in the beta channel by next Friday.

    They have removed some of the buttons from the toolbar

    Combined the page and wrench menu's

    Redone the theme on the new tab page

    Added extension sync

    And added native PDF viewing (so it won't be effected by exploits for Adobe Reader)

    There are also a few new extension API's for developers.

    So what browser is everyone using and would this make you switch?

    I've been using chrome 6.0.472.0 for a while, its pretty nice. Native pdf works very well, loads them faster than any adobe reader plugin i've used.

    I've been testing firefox 4 beta 1, and I must say it's been improved greatly. Now for chrome, looks nice

    In case it doesn't make the cut for the stable release out of the box yet, you can enable side tabs using the flag --enable-vertical-tabs. This is what it looks like:

    I hate this. The 6.0 Beta is only out for Windows. Nothing for us Ubuntu users. Hmph.

    I have all three browsers in my dock and i usually use Safari, mainly because i'm used to it ^.^
