CHM files are Microsoft files. They won't work without being convered. I've tried.

thanx for your help DaveiPhone, but everything installed and double-cheked as indicated and the app freezes first and after 5 secs exits to Finder.

    Two points to notice:
    1. On the app i installed the title bar says only CHM and not CHM/LIT
    2. i'm on 1.1.1 jailbroken IPOT,

    any hints?

I'm on a 1.1.3 iPhone, and it took me a little fiddling to get it to work. What you're describing sounds like the permissions are wrong. Try setting the folder and contents to 755 and see if that does the trick. On 1.1.3 I needed to set them to 777 and also:

    chmod +s /var/Applications/MobileCHM.app/MobileCHM
    chmod +s /var/Applications/MobileCHM.app/clit

,but you shouldn't have to do those last steps running 1.1.1

    You're my man

    Perfect!
I set CHM folder and very item in MobileCHM folder to 777 and did the magic!
Thanx again man, especially for your quick reply.

PS: This makes the IPOT closer to being the total whatever-formatted-ebook-reader.

Great, glad it worked for you. I'm liking it too, though I wish it could rotate.

Can someone explain how I set permissions. I have a 1.1.4 Touch and the app is frozen when I open it... I'm assuming I use Putty to SSH into it, but what do I do from there? Help please.
