i just bought an ipod touch 2g in the uk so im assuming my ipod has the volume limit. overall the volume is fine but can be really quiet on some old songs.

I read previously on this forum that the volume is set to .82999999 if it has the volume limit. is there anyway to check this setting on my ipod touch? i don't want to jailbreak my ipod touch in anyway can this be checked without a jailbreak?

    Thanks.

You can increase the volume of songs via iTunes as well. Right click->Get Info->Options->Volume Adjustment. And you can increase it via there.

    this doesnt work

the volume adjustment means the volume will reach maximum at a lower volume if u know what i mean. so if u set the volume adjustment 10% the max volume will be at 90% when u use the volume slider, the actual volume level is not increased.

Install Volume Boost in Cydia to increase your volume to max.
