I have an iPhone 3GS, and I downloaded and upgraded with 4.0. It said I needed a Developer account to register my iPhone, so I found a spot for a 4.0 Register on eBay. All I need is my UDID number. Unfortunately I can't access iTunes summary, which is the only way I know how to access my UDID number. Is there an alternative way? Thanks.

I do not have msn, sorry. I can't downgrade to 3.1.3 because it comes up with the 1015 error, which occurs when you attempt to downgrade. I cannot access my iPhone home page in any way. If I found a way, I would, but so far everything I have tried has failed. I have tried to downgrade to 3.1.2 and 3.1.3, both having the 1015 error. I have also tried the "iRecovery downgrade" with no success (can't type anything into the Terminal).

    1) Is there a program that checks your UDID?
    2) Is your UDID the same no matter which firmware you have?
    3) Can I use any firmware at all without getting the 1015 error?

I don't have MSN, but this thread should work fine. I will check it regularly.

Put it in DFU Mode, there is no options except for "Restore".

    argh...
Do you now what dfu mode is?

1 plug iphone to computer, keep itunes open
2 hold the home button and power button for exactly 10 seconds
3 release the power button just before the apple logo shows up (10 seconds mentioned in point 2) keep holding home button until you enter dfu mode

You cant ever never downgrade without entering dfu mode

Devs should not be selling spots on their account.
