Charging

    when you use up all the battery and recharge it, are you meant to you it until it cannot boot at all or just untill it says your almost out of battery?

    it doesnt matter. you could use it until it completely dies and then charge it, or u can charge it when the battery is low.

    i thought the charing cycle matters and your meant to do it 2-3 weeks

    o ur talking about the charging cycle. I have no idea. I dont follow what your supposed to do. I charge it whenever I feel like it. lol

    Me too. I tend to follow the "top it off" method (it gets to like 75% before I recharge)

    My 1st gen still has pretty food battery life after that.

    I would recommend installing an app from the appstore like Battery doctor.
    It gives you instructions and hints on how to maintain a full battery life.
    Plus it adds the ability to do a full cycle charge every now and then.

    I try to charge when I get the 20% notification. However, I notice that the battery indicator on the iPod touch 4G is not very accurate. Hopefully this will be addressed in a future software update.

    yea. the battery meter is completely off. mine died. I charged it and the second It turned on again, it said it had 50+% of battery left.

    ...yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about!

    On average, my iPod tends to last about 3 1/2 hours on a full charge...

    you know when yoy charge it until it comepletely dies, does that mean that it doesnt boot up at all? nothing? Or until it says there no battery left?
