So when I first purchased my Ipod Touch, one of the workers at Best Buy mentioned to methat the USB cable Charger that came with the Ipod only charges it to 80% and nothing further and takes about 2 hours to do. He said the only way to get 100% was to buy a docking station for it.

The only good dock I saw but didn't purchase was a Belkin.

Any info on this story would be great.

    LIES!
That Best Buy worker just wanted money from you. Why would Apple give you a charger that only charges to 80%? I wonder why the battery on the lock-screen is full and the numeric battery says 100 then? *eyeroll*.

How long is it for a full 100% charge how many hours would it take?

A full charge usually takes like 2-3 hours. I think

Honestly, it would cost alot more to make a generic usb cable to monitor the charging process and cut off at 80% so the Best Buy salesperson is full of crap. Normal full charge via the computer would take 3 hours. Other accessories such as generic wall plugs where you connect your usb cable to>> would take around 1-2 hours due to the higher ampage inputs.

apple "could" have made it like that for cheap by making the dock connector connect a few pins together to make it do that, just saying. but it is BS. the cable does give you the full charge. otherwise apple would have told you that you need a dock. i hate salesmen that say lies to get a better commission
