So you want to see the battery charging... when it isn't charging.
Of curse... It all makes PERFECT sense...

you want to see the battery level as the wallpaper?
at very best, you would need to respring each time you had new image for the background...thats the only way to update the image.

so, if you had someone create a daemon to run at all times, you can poll the hardware to get the battery number and then have a function that `draws` a new background with this data. then it would have to do this at some regular interval, and of course respring each time like I mention above.

sounds like a terrible idea, considering what it would take

now, if you are just looking for some wallpaper you've posted to the wrong forum

Despite the fact that when you plug it in it doesn't have to reset the springboard??? OW3N3D

that would work, and because its just the standard apple wallpaper that would be changed it wouldnt need a resping

Why cant it work like when you plug it in? You get the lockscreen wallpaper as a battery charging info icon then and you don't have to re-spring?

you don't have to be an arse. The point of this thread is the fact that people want there battery theme as there lockscreen because they like there battery. If you don't like the idea then don't say so in the thread arse. The point is people want to be able to check there battery this way.
