The mains charger I used for my old iPod does not charge my new iPod touch 2G. I'd appreciate it if anyone let me know what mains charger they bought and the best place to buy it for firstly, price. For example, the two on the Apple store (Belkin dual & Apple's own) would obviously do the job but at £19.95 and £19 respectively they seemed a bit expensive. Secondly I'd like to know so I buy one that is definitely compatible with my iPod touch 2G!

    Thanks
    Rowan

I got the official Apple one on Amazon for £16.16. Worth it. Argos do the Belkin one for £9.79 but that blew up on me!

    Are you in the US?

Oh, I'll stay away from the Belkin one then. Did you get it for that price off an independent seller or is that Amazons price?

So I'd have to use a UK adaptor on it?

I've heard some of the 'cheaper' iPod chargers overheat the iPod and that it can damage the battery or something of that ilk. True?

It comes with a UK plug, just an error in the title. Personally, I love official Apple Products, as you know you can't go wrong. Buy cheap = Buy twice.

    Up 2 U though...

Thank you for your help - I'm a little dubious at buying the cheap ones too. I'll be buying this one then - thanks again

Should work with any USB type Device charger where the USB cable can be unplugged, like many phone chargers.

As they all charge in compliance with the USB spec, any of those chargers will suffice.
