    there is anther way.
on a graphical ssh client, goto /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lproj/
    download the file SpringBoard.strings
goto http://140.124.181.188/~khchung/cgi-bin/plutil.cgi and convert the file you just downloaded to a readable text file.
save the converted file and open it.
click the top of the file and open the find and replace toolbar. search for "slide to unlock" and replace it with whatever you want.
save the custom file as SpringBoard.strings
using a graphical ssh client goto /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lproj/ and replace the original SpringBoard.strings (backing it up by renaming it to SpringBoard.strings.backup)
respring your ipod and your GOOD TO GO!
