I just noticed that iTunes uses Bitmap images for your album artwork and while doing this it increases the file size by like a megabyte. Really this isn't a big deal but add 2000+ album artworks and thats about 2 gigs of just that. Is there a way to stop iTunes from making them a Bitmap Image and keep it as a .jpg or somethin?

Get your own pic from the internet, and import that to the song rather than letting iTunes do it.
Choose "get info" on the song, go to "album artwork" tab (I think it's the last one) and choose add...and simply add the picture from your saved directory.
    Makes sense?

It does it to them anyway. I tested it out.

Hmmm, never knew that. Sorry about that useless suggestion then. I guess I got nothing for you then.

I'm sure its something that we have to live with, like how our photos in our photo library are marked up by 200% but would've been nice to be able to change the type so it wont take up so much space
