    Hey,

When using youtube on my iPod touch it takes ages for the video to stream (my stupid internet) and i'm guessing it's because it's streaming it in the highest quality. Is there a way to select normal quality like you can on the proper youtube?

    Thanks, Michael

    Use MxTube from Cydia.
You can stream into all the normally available qualities AND Download the videos, in all available qualities!

    That's not really necessary.

    On-Topic:
I'd also recommend MxTube, it's a great application.

I really wish Youtube just made an independent app that can be constantly updated instead of the crap bundled with the OS

While I agree with you, you're lucky there's a native YouTube app at all.

Besides, before 2.x, the Apple-made YouTube app WAS needed.
