since I'm on my iPhone an there's no copy paste I can't give you the link to the site. The answer seems to be to use terminal which can be found on cydia. Or some app, also apparently found on cydia called icommander. Hope this helps

To change permissions use can use chmod in mobile terminal.
For example... If I wanted to make The Installer 4.0 beta work correctly I would type:

    login root
    alpine
    cd ..
    cd ..
    cd Applications
    chmod 775 Installer.app
    cd Installer.app
    chmod a+srx Installer

Or something similar to that. Basically it is: chmod [permission][file]

or you can do it all in one command without having to change folders like this:
if folder or file you want to change permission to is "Installer.app" to "777" do this

    chmod -r 777 /Applications/Installer.app

use this... It is the iphone tunnel suite. It allows you to use a full ssh through usb. Just install and start the tunneling, then load your winscp. the ip address is 127.0.0.1 and root as user and password is alpine. I cant get the rar of the setup file to upload. So, you must find it yourself.
