Just use MobileFinder to change permissions - it's easy to do...

    Mobile Finder

The reason I don't use cuteFTP instead of Total Commander is because I haven't wifi connection, does mobile finder involve a wifi connection? Thanks

    Mobile Finder

Just go to Finder and choose a file. Go to Modify and check Read, Write, and Exec on Owner, and only Read and Exec on Group and Everyone so that it's like this:

    Owner: X X X
    Group: X O X
    Everyone: X O X

This works perfectly fine for me.

You install MobileFinder on your iPod Touch - so, you'll need Wi-Fi long enough to install it...
