changing permissions info

    so lost on how to change permissions on files can somebody please give me a FULL tutorial on how to change permissions so lost....

    U HAVE TO GET CUTEFTP pro search it on youtube for free and then put it on ipod and then right click and click properties/chmod

    The two above posts describes changing permission using an SSH client. You can also change permissions using the command line (slightly more advanced if you have no idea what you are doing...)

    Ex. (Changing permissions of Installer.app)
    Code:
    /bin/chmod 4755 /Applications/Installer.app/Installer
    You can also use MobileFinder; select a file/folder and tap "Modify" and check the appropriate boxes.

    EDIT:*You do not need CuteFTP Pro, you can use another SSH client or simply use one of the methods described above.
