Does anyone know if there is a way to change the default icons for stock and YouTube to something else?

You have to jailbreak you iPod, and download a theme for it using Winterboard.

If you don't know what any of that is, go to the jailbreak forums.

I have already jailbroken it and already have winterboard

When i tried to change the youtube app icon, there were 2 files in there called "icon.png" and "Icon-Small.png" i replaced both of those but it didnt work. so how can the youtube icon be changed?

and is there a site that has all the customised icons that I can use?, I cant find any..

You have to name the icon the same as the app's name. So you will have to change the alternate YouTube icon to "YouTube.png." Capitalization matters.

And this thread belongs in the "Customization" forums, actually.

I tried that but it didnt work either, Isn't it supposed to be icon.png under youtube.app? as that makes more sense.. although that didnt work..

Yea, that should work, but people tend not to do that because if they want to change it back, they would have to find the original icon, but in Winterboard, they would just have to turn it off.

Anyways, did you respring? You need to, in a way, refresh your springboard if you changed an icon.

I would just suggest getting a theme with Winterboard, since we know that works. Save it in a folder named "icons", and put that folder in another folder with a name ending with ".theme". Example: My Theme.theme

    Save that folder in var/stash/Themes.iNL6ov

And yes, the files have to be .png.
