Sorry for my incredibly noobiness at this post (yes I searched for it no luck) I am getting my IpoT tomorrow and will be jailbreaking it using touchfree. What I am asking is how do I change the background/icons will I have to find the right file string? Or will I be using an application, I hear of customize?

Thanks to all that can help!

Customize is used to set the different carrier images and icon layout. It works for some but it doesn't work for others. (Although my carrier image change doesn't work, but you can do it manually).

For backgrounds you can create your own theme, and uploading it to your iPod Touch and using SummerBoard to 'activate' it. It's rather simple to be honest, but you need Photoshop or some image creating program.

To make a SummerBoard theme the Ultimate Guide is the place to look: http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3040
