i want to change the Finder's permission level so i can delete apps with it. i tried doing this:

    chmod -R 775 /Applications/*

someone in an older thread said this...but i got this:

chmod: 775: No such file or directory
chmod: /applications/*: No such file or directory

what should i do? thx so much if u can help

    Do this
    chmod -R 755 /Applications/Finder.app
    chmod +s /Applications/Finder.app/Finder

Now reset all your settings Settings-General-Reset-Reset All
    Now finder will work properly

Did you use upper case A for Applications. your error message has the lower case a.
