I have noticed that Apple's shuffle algorithm is to create a temporary playlist that is random with every song in it, and it would play that temporary playlist just like any other, even if you have loop enabled, it would play the list over and over, making it very predictable for us to know what song is coming up. This algorithm also loops all songs so that they get equal chance to be played.

WMP's algorithms are a little different, it chooses songs truly randomly, and I like that algorithm better, can I change Apple's algorithm for this one?

It would probably require alot of hacking, if not impossible, but comment on it anyways.

    Thanks for any replies

well there is "instinctive shuffle" in cydia. except it does the opposite of what you want. it modifies the shuffle so that it plays the same type of songs (usually in the same album or artist) untill you skip it. then it goes to a random song.
