in the Status Bar to the Signal bars

used by the iPhone. All you have to do is SSH into your ipod touch (i use WinSCP) and go to the WifiImages folder in the Customize directory /private/var/root/Library/Customize/WiFiImages (you need to have customize, obviusly). Create a new folder in WifiImages, and drag the following files into that folder. NOTE: Make sure you remove the [1] that follows the name of the file (e.g. backup-1[1].png or backup-5[1].png etc.) Once you do this, simply open customize on your touch and change the WiFi images to the new signal bars. Hope that helps!!!

Yes this is with the computer. You need to use an SSH program like CuteFTP or WinSCP. private/var/root/Library/Customize/WiFiImages is the path to the WifiImages folder. Just login to your SSH program and click root then library then Customize and then WiFiImages.

Yes. In Cydia there is a theme called 'Black Wi-Fi Bars.' Download this and apply it via WinterBoard.
