After jailbreaking my iPod touch to the firmware 2.2, i noticed that there were little alerts that i never noticed before with firm. version 1.1.4/. Like now the mail has alittle chime! Now the big question is, is can u change those sounds? If so what apps do i need to look into to do so. Are their any real brainers out their that have done this. If so can you help?

i dont think you can easily change the beeping noise. i think you can change the noise that comes out of the headphones though.

You cannot change the sound that the iPod puts out through its "speaker", as this isn't really a speaker, it's just a piezo clicker that can output certain tones. You can, however, change the sounds that play through the headphones. I believe there is a package on Cydia called "Talking Alerts" or something similar that does this.
