    Follow this guide:

    http://www.hacktheiphone.com/74/iphone_springboard_editing_windows_74.html

Note that there is no displayorder.plist on the ipod touch, instead, look for N45AP.plist in the SpringBoard folder. And edit the file in a similar way according to the guide. Rearranging icons on the button bar doesn't work yet, I will find some alternatives.

    Notes

To find the identifier of an app, open Info.plist in the .app folder, you should be able to find something like com.apple.mobilemail.

hi MAC user, why not think carefully? Don't you know how to use TextEdit.app on your MAC to edit the plist file? Or better yet, use the plist editor!

    Say this on TUAW

"At the Mac command line, you can do this by issuing plutil -convert xml1 filename.plist. To convert back use binary1 instead of xml1.
