Hey I have just upgraded my iPod 2G to iOS 4 and I am wondering if it is possible to change the icon of the default folders, or even just where they are in the filesystem

Well, at the current moment, there is no way to SSH into the filesystem (People have been having trouble using OpenSSh with the 2G Touch). So there is no current way. Wait for Winterboard to be updated. That is the safest way.

There are two ways to access the filesystem on iOS 4: afc2add then SSH via usb, and iFile but I can't seem to find the folder location anywhere

Don't worry. I am sure winterboard could change the icon. I would think that you could just put an .png icon in the winterboard icon folder called FolderName.png and it may overlay it... but that depends if the icon on the springboard is live-updating. I think they look cool though. I manually made a games and apps folder icon for my catagories that look like the iOS 4 icons.

I had a look through the filesystem and all I could find was the background image, I couldnt find a way to change the icons though. I suppose one or two is ok, but 6 of them in one page is uuuggglllyyy.

Does anyone know of a way to change the folder icon AND make the thumbnails of the apps within the folder transparent without changing the enclosed apps to have transparent icons??
