Is there any way possible (so far) for me to change the boot logo on the iPod Touch 2nd Generation MC model (8 gig) with 3.1.3 firmware. I jailbroke with Spirit, and have tried using redsn0w (0.9.2) to create a NOR flash ispw, but it doesn't support changing boot logos on the MC model. I'm not sure if this is because I'm not using the right version, or if they never had boot logo support for the MC model before updated redsn0w to only jailbreak 4.0 software. Could somebody please help me. I know it isn't the most important thing in the world, but even if I have to do it manually, could somebody at least tell me if it would even work?

You can't change them on new bootroom devices

Well can you on 4.0/4.0.1/4.1? Because I ran the newest redsn0w and it gave me the option to.

It's only for devices with a bootroom exploit such as the original iPhone and 3G, original iPT and 2G

Not unless there is a bootroom exploit. You can't change it if you don't have access to the bootroom. Especially with spirit because it's a userland jailbreak

Hmm, well then how does redsn0w jailbreak new bootrom devices? Because if it's a bootrom exploit then you should be able to change the boot and recovery logos, right?

The bootroom exploit and the actual jailbreak exploit are two different things.
