He could of just given the slaughtered elephant to the village people to eat.

The reason for many countries in Africa food issues are their own leader's corruption, and it is their duty (not ours) to fix it.

he did....hence the butchering. cows are not endangered, elephants are.

takes less land to grow a pound of vegetables/fruit than it does to grow a pound of meat. he should have given money to the community instead of killing an elephant.

There are plenty of awful things going on in the world today; this is not one of them. Sadly, though, this site disagrees with anything relating to politics and government issues, so one cannot describe things going on. Just use your imagination.

Yes, but it is dead and it was eaten, there is no problem as long as your not doing it every single day, and killing them just for gain it is fine

Yeah I see what you're going at, but it does happen every single day. Endangered animals are slaughtered all the time, generally not even for meat, but for fur, ivory, even testicles. The meat is often thrown aside to rot. Many primate populations in Africa are endangered, but are still frequently slaughtered for bush meat. Another example is with big cats around the world, the Amur Leopard being a perfect example. The cat is on the verge of extinction, with only about 35 individuals left in the wild, but they are still poached for fur. There are thousands of examples if you'd like me to continue.
