I recently downloaded some cool comics on my laptop, the problem is that they're in .cbr format... and I cant find an App that lets me view them on my iPad.

do you guys know about one?

or maybe yoe know a way to convert these .cbr files into PDF or ePub or somehing...

If you go to the "iComic" thread on the iPod Jailbreak Apps forum, you'll find a few there. CloudReaders is free and reads CBZ, CBR, and PDF files.

To convert to other formats, there's Calibre.

As I said, CloudReaders natively supports cbr files. No conversion required. Unless you want to read in iBooks or something.

And Files HD is a worse PDF viewer than either Fast PDF or GoodReader for iPad, so either way it wa's a waste. Plus, CloudReaders is FREE.

Still, as noted, there are much better PDF readers - since what Files HD does to read PDF's, you could just do in Safari.

I think I know an easy way to do what you are looking for.

CBR files are basically RAR files containing a bunch of images from the comic. I extracted all of my CBR files and put them into iPhoto.

I haven't tried putting them onto an iPad yet, but once they are in iPhoto or extracted, it shouldn't be too hard to transfer them to the photo app.
