    Hello,

I jailbroke my 1st generation Touch at FW 2.2.1. During that time I used Categories to create application folders because the limit in the number of screens. Since then I have upgraded to FW 3.0 through itunes but I did not restore my original 2.2.1 FW prior to the JB. Now when I install applications that I had put into Categories they no longer show up in 3.0. Even if I remove and then restore the applications they still do not show up. I thought at first they were not 3.0 compatible but since then I have downloaded OS 3.0 tested updates to the applications and still they do not show up. I understand I have lost 500MB of storage space by not restoring the original FW. Is that true? Is there any way to remove the jailbroken code and start over again with 3.0 so that my applications show up again?

there's a fix to your problem without having to restore or remove anything.
    Here it is:
Go to Settings > General > Restrictions > Enable Restrictions > Put whatever password you want then disable the restrictions and all your hidden apps should reappear on the springboard
    Hope it helps

I wonder if it's worth jail breaking again now that I have Spotlight? I no longer need the folders although it would be nice if Apple supported that in a future release.
