categories messed up my ipod

    i downloaded categories and put everytihng into one folder and left the one folder out but it didnt keep the folder on the springboard so all i have on springboard is music and videos and my SSH is turned off so i cant SSH into my ipod or use installer please help

    Hi , I have the same problem ,
    I turned all my icons in one folder and than I closed categories !
    And now I have only the video and image icon on my home screen

    What can I do to reverse that crap ,the wlan of my touch is switch on ,but I don't know how the ip is

    sounds like all you can do is restore your ipod...

    But I have no lust to restore my ipod because I restored it yesterday and today I jailbreaked it again and loaded all my apps on my iPod like wikipedia

    Is there a way to find out the ip of my ipod because than I could maybe fix it with SSH

    you maybe able to use iphonebrowser on windows pc to delete the cotegories.app and see if your icons come back maybe backup the folder first or even add finder manually so you can edit plist or replace it.
    luckily i havent had this problem but i use categories no problem.

    Don't ever use Categories, or instal it.

    This happens because of editing of the N45xx.plist file to hide the icons. Apparently to evade this problem is create the folders and hide the icons manually through Customize. That's what I'm doing with mine. 1.1.1 btw

    same thing i did use customize to hide icons not categories
