I have Categories installed, and I have noticed that when I select an App from within a Category, the App starts, the splash screen is displayed for about 0.5 of a second, then I get a blank black screen for about 2 seconds then the app is up and running. It happens on all apps within a category.

I am on version 3 of the OS, and have a 2nd Gen Ipod TOuch 32GB.

Any ideas on whether I can change a setting and stop the splash screen from disappearing. It is only a minor annoyance, but would like everything purrrrfect!!!!

    Thanks.

So no replies to this, does that mean I am the only person who has this minor issue?

I have it too, but I doubt theres much we can do about it.

Sometimes my apps crash upon the splash screen and/or dont boot properly, but its getting better with each update of Categories.

Its a small price to pay for a non-cramped home screen

I do agree with you iTouchGuru, a non-cramped home screen, is great, I just wasn't sure whether it was just me... Now I know it isn't.

I think it helps if you go into the settings of the category and choose to "Keep Resident" on. I had this problem too and its better with this option on.

Thanks Kayzo. That has done the trick. I am a happy camper again. Spash screen now stays on.
