I'd like to play my new iPod touch in the car without wearing headphones wile driving

I drive a car that's too new for audio cassettes, but too old for any ipod integration or AUX in. It's the default, standard-issue factory radio with a CD player, and that's about it.

The only other option besides getting a new radio is the FM transmitter.
First, are these things as bad of sound quality as I've heard they are? I mean I don't exactly have a cutting edge speaker/radio system, so perfect sound quality isn't needed, but not wanting to throw the thing out the window would be nice.

Are there any that are better than others? I was looking at something like the Griffin iTrip, (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16855999287) but I'm not sure if that one would work or whether there's something cheaper out there.

    Advice is appreciated!

FM transmitters aren't the BEST. Sound quality isn't too bad if you have an open frequency with no static. However, it can be difficult (depending where you live) to find a consistent open frequency. FM is line-of-site so you can leave the range of one station and enter another without traveling too far.

Is there any particular itrip that's better than others?

I see the iTrip, iTrip Auto, iTrip Universal, iTrip Autopilot...

the iTrip Autopilot looks like the coolest (automatically finds open frequencies)

In my car I have this thing called Sync, it's so awesome! It's built into the car, allows you to talk in the car, and a built in microphone will hear what you say and then play the music over the car's speakers.

But of course you can't buy it separately, came with my car.
